A Musical Salute to Patti Page & Doris Day: Songbirds of the Fifties at the Somers Library

Join Prof. Diane Cypkin in celebrating the two leading ladies of the fabulous fifties: Patti Page and Doris Day. Dr. Cypkin will not only sing the hits of these iconic artists, but will also share their personal stories to bring their music and their era to life. Dr. Cypkin and her accompanist Lena Panfilova will perform several songs made famous by Patti Page, including Tennessee Waltz; (How Much Is) That Doggie in the Window; and Left, Right Out of Your Arms. For Doris Day, songs performed will include It’s Magic; If I Give My Heart to You; Que Sera Sera; and Everybody Loves a Lover.
