Genealogy Workshop For Beginners at the Somers Library
Saturday, April 13, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Have you ever wondered who your ancestors were? Do you wonder if you have family members you weren’t aware you had? Come to this workshop to discover your past and build your own family tree! Topics covered will be:
How to get started, keep track and organize
Family stories and traditions
Charts and software programs
Collecting vital records
Online resources (including library resources,, etc.), census, probate records and newspapers

Libby Baker has been doing genealogy for almost 20 years and has presented over a dozen workshops. She finds genealogy a form of joy and relaxation and particularly enjoys sharing her skills with others.
