Teens: Optimizing Your Mental Wellness for the College Preparation Process at the Somers Library
Tuesday, September 17, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
The hunt for the perfect college and career can be stressful. Recent brain science has taught us that positive mental health and effective social and emotional skills are key to success in both academics and life. Participants will learn how emotions such as anxiety and sadness are important and why managing them is important for success. Discussed will be various strategies students and parents can use to build resilience as well as psychological tools to prepare for a successful college admissions process and, ultimately, a successful college experience. This program is for teens grades 9 – 12 and their parents/caregivers. Registration is required; please register on our online events calendar at www.somerslibrary.org or call the library at 232-5717.
