Virtual Presentation: Health and Wealth with the Alzheimer’s Association
Wednesday, February 17, 12:30 – 2:00 pm

The diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease makes both legal and health planning more important than ever. This two-part program will offer information about legal, financial and health issues to consider, how to put plans in place and how to access resources near you.
Legal topics covered will include:
Making legal plans that fit your needs
Legal documents you’ll need
How to find legal and financial assistance
Practical strategies for making a long-term care plan
Government programs that can help pay for care
Tips around beneficiary designees, life insurance
Protecting against scams and fraud.

Regarding health issues, there are lifestyle habits we can adopt to help maintain or even potentially improve our health. This workshop covers four areas of lifestyle habits associated with healthy aging:
Cognitive activity
Social engagement

In each area, we will discuss what we know, drawing on current research, as well as what we can do — steps to take now to improve or maintain overall health in each area.
Speakers: Eva Roszkowski, Community Engagement Manager & Young Professionals Alzheimer’s Council Advisor, Alzheimer’s Association;
Moira Laidlaw, Managing Partner, Hollis Laidlaw & Simon P.C.;
Judi McAnaw, Financial Advisor, Edward Jones
